At Little Red Rooster, creativity and passion drive everything we do – and it’s no different for Hope Richardson, who joined the Coop late last year. With a background spanning freelancing and agency life, Hope’s love for interiors and storytelling quickly made her a perfect fit. Since coming on board, she’s been diving headfirst into client campaigns, events and media relationships, bringing fresh energy and sharp expertise to the fold. We chat to our in-house design expert for the latest in our ‘Meet the Rooster’ series.

Tell us about your work experience and how you came to join the Coop?
After finishing my degree in Publishing and Media Communications, I jumped straight into freelancing, working with all kinds of brands, creating content, running social media, and basically getting stuck in wherever I could. It was a great way to learn the ropes and get a taste of different industries.
That journey eventually led me to my first agency role at Fox Collective, where I discovered a real passion for interiors and design. Over three and a half years, I worked my way up from Account Executive to Account Manager, learning how to juggle clients, campaigns, and deadlines, all while building relationships with journalists and influencers who truly shaped my understanding of PR.
I’d been following Little Red Rooster for a while, loving its creativity and the way the team tell brand stories with real flair. So, when I felt ready for a fresh challenge, I reached out, and that’s how I ended up at the Coop, ready to dive deeper into the interiors world and take my skills to the next level.
What does your job entail?
My day-to-day is all about looking after a portfolio of interiors clients—making sure their stories get told in the right way, to the right people, at the right time. That means building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers, pitching fresh ideas, and finding exciting ways to get our clients noticed.
Some days, I’m brainstorming campaign ideas or crafting press releases. Other days, I’m coordinating events or jumping on calls with media contacts to chat through upcoming stories. And there’s always a bit of analysing results to see what worked and what we can do better next time.
I love the mix of creativity, strategy, and relationship-building — and nothing beats the buzz of landing great coverage or seeing a campaign come to life.
What do you love most about being a member of Team Rooster?
Honestly, it’s the people. Everyone’s super hardworking, but what really stands out is how supportive and down-to-earth the team is. There’s a real sense of everyone pulling together, and that makes even the craziest days feel doable—and often fun!
I also love how open the team is to fresh ideas and creativity. It’s not just about ticking boxes here; there’s space to experiment, push boundaries, and learn from each other. That kind of energy keeps me motivated and in my short six months here I feel like I’ve had so many opportunities already.

Describe your happy place
It really depends on the day, but generally, my happy place is anywhere I can be outside, preferably with some sunshine. Whether it’s relaxing in a sunny garden, wandering a quiet countryside trail, or soaking up the atmosphere at the beach, being outdoors helps me recharge. Bonus points if there’s a spicy margarita nearby and good friends to share the moment with.
Other happy places include music festivals where I can lose myself in live music and the atmosphere, trying out a new sport, or discovering a new restaurant. Living in Bristol, we’re lucky to have a great scene for all of this.
Where can we typically find you outside of work?
You’ll usually find me at the gym or trying out a new sport or activity – I’m really into paddleboarding at the moment and keen to get back into padel or tennis. Lately, I’ve also been dedicating any spare moment to finishing up a renovation project we started last year. It’s been a labour of love (and patience!) but seeing it come together is incredibly rewarding.
When I’m not busy with those, I enjoy discovering new places to eat or drink, going to gigs or music festivals, and occasionally sneaking away for a weekend getaway.

Tell us something nobody knows about you!
I won a Radio 1 competition when I was 13 that got me tickets to a show with Nick Grimshaw. That night pretty much kicked off my lifelong obsession with live music and gigs. I still try to catch concerts whenever I can and I’ll never turn one down.
