Kicking off a season of festivities, we recently hosted our annual Christmas shindig to say thank you to all of our wonderful clients for their support over the past twelve months. It’s been a year of dramatic change but also one of great success for Little Red 🐓, which has seen us welcome a host of new colleagues and brands to the Rooster family.
This year, we departed from tradition and enjoyed Rock ‘N’ Roll Afternoon Tea at the Gore Hotel – the famous location where the Rolling Stones hosted the launch party of their Beggars Banquet.
Joined by faces both old and new, we enjoyed a mixture of savory and sweet delicacies from ‘Popping’ Stones Paprika popcorn, Woodstock-inspired hot dogs and an array of bites each paying tribute to some of the world’s most iconic bands and artists (think profiteroles dressed up like Slash). A firm favourite amongst the crowd was ‘Goodbye Ziggy’, a delightful chocolate cake adorned with a lightning bolt symbol, paying tribute to when David Bowie killed off his Ziggy Stardust character in favour of his lightning bolt-sporting Aladdin Sane persona. Keeping tightly in with the theme, each selection of nibbles was served on boards decorated with famous vinyl records.
Our afternoon also allowed to us to talk about our sustainability efforts: Project Do Good. From banning plastic bottles, re-thinking the way we send out samples (switching plastic bags for recycled paper) to investing in a compost bin for the office, it’s important for us to share all of these little things we are doing to be eco-friendlier. A huge change we are making next year – and needed to reveal to our clients – is that we are officially getting rid of the standard goody bags in 2020! With this in mind, we gifted our clients a jar of homemade chutneys made by our Emma Younger’s parents and a bottle of wine from our local vineyard, Stanlake Park Wine Estate.
All in all it was a terrific way to finish off a busy 2019. We can’t thank our clients enough for all of their support, and here’s to a great 2020!
