Following the success of our first ‘Meet The Creator’ blog with freelance journalist Fran Seden, we now present to you the sequel. For this instalment we sat down (virtually of course) with fashion, portrait, still life and technology photographer, and all-around gent Abdel Abdulai (aka Boy From Dagbon).

We are immensely proud of our ‘Little Black Book’, and endeavour to share the wisdom and skills it offers us on relevant and engaging projects. So, to get to know these talented folks we are continuing with the ‘Meet The Creator’ blog series.
We work with the very best writers to curate magical words for our clients. Alongside writing, we also partner with media and influencers to create content for social channels, whether that be via the live action of a talk, panel debate, through stop motion animation, video or perhaps via hosting a crack team of stylists to curate a wonderful portfolio of lifestyle photography for a product launch.
Abdel (@BoyFromDagbon) is a street style photographer that in a normal year tours the world snapping the latest fashions in Paris, Milan, Florence, and London. He has amassed over 10,000 followers on Instagram and during the pandemic has pivoted to selling his prints online plus testing out the latest gadgets.
How did you get started in photography?
I have always been into photography really; my father always carried a camera and to this day enjoys taking pictures of people and landscapes. He bought me my very first camera when I was just six and I have not looked back since.

For someone reading this blog post who is looking to makes waves in the photography industry, what guidance can you give them to succeed?
Be original! Always be prepared to collaborate with other creatives and/or brands plus sign up to photography groups and sites in order to increase the visibility of your work.
What has been your experience working with Little Red PR as a content creator?
It is always a pleasure working with Little Red PR. There are never any hiccups or misunderstandings and as much as we have fun with projects, we also work hard to ensure the brief is met in a timely manner. The team at Little Red are an extended family who are a joy to work with. I have loved working on projects with the likes of Master Lock, SanDisk, Siren Craft Brew, and Pantherella.

How has your photography business had to adapt during the global pandemic?
It has been an unusual year that is for sure. I have had to move a lot of my shoots into a studio and also shoot more products in a still life set up. Outdoor shoots on the other hand have been unaffected as it’s open space and there is usually a distance between the subject and me
Please tell us the most exciting story from your street style photography experience.
With regards to street style photography experiences, there is always an exciting story on the street. The most thrilling was spotting Lewis Hamilton pre-F1 season, but not actually attending a fashion presentation. He just so happened to be running past the venue and I remember asking for a photo of him to which he responded, “if you can keep up with me, you are welcome to take a picture”. So, I remember jogging for a few minutes alongside him and then took the lead in order to get a good shot before he sped off continuing his training session.
