International Women’s Day 2021

God Is A Woman, Ladies Night, Girl On Fire – three songs that perfectly sum up the all-female senior team here at Little Red PR. So, for International Women’s Day we thought we would hand it over to the men of the Coop to talk about how they are inspired on the daily by their female counterparts. Here is what they said…

Lewis Hopkins, ode to Victoria Ruffy

“I have been at the agency for over five years now, and in that time the senior team has predominantly been made up of women. In its current set up the senior team is in fact 100% female. Whilst the gender of the people I work with is a complete non-issue to me, it is refreshing to see a team of inspiring women expertly steer ‘Good Ship Rooster’.

And captain of that ship is none other than our Victoria Ruffy. From dog walk planning meetings to rocking a Smeg launch party, Vic is the epitome of work hard, play hard – and she has a heart whilst doing it. Vic has shown me the PR ropes right from the beginning, throwing me into media meetings and constantly encouraging me to eat, breathe and sleep newspapers / magazines. Without her belief and fierce drive, I genuinely do not think I would be as far as I am in my career.

But above all, she is a great listener, gives rock solid advice and knows a thing or two about a devilishly good night out on the town”.

Rob Topham, ode to Lucy Pritchard

“As executive assistant, Lucy oversees the day-to-day administration and organisation here at Little Red and keeps us all in check. Right from day dot, Lucy is there to welcome all new roosters and guide them on the ins and outs – from the coverage mounting process to that all-important payday. Lucy is someone I have always looked up to thanks to her ability to manage a huge breadth of tasks. Not only is Lucy at the top of everyone’s speed dial, but she also carries herself in an admirably calm manner whilst executing her own responsibilities flawlessly. The definition of a multi-tasking queen, and a woman we should all endeavour to emulate in our day-to-day lives”.

Yannick Ondoa, ode to Lucie Arnaud

“When you are a newbie like me, working for someone who has already spent 20 years in PR can be daunting. But when I work with Lucie, I feel at complete ease. She acknowledges our difference in experience and changes her approach accordingly. She is also very well organised, making interacting with her a breeze. Finally, she is a strong supporter who does not hesitate to help me”.

Dan Portman, ode to Frankie Stewart

“Coverage queen and unashamed Richard Madeley lover, Frankie Stewart, is an indispensable interiors Hun. Praised for being the fun and cool one at the Coop, she is rarely seen without her long leather jacket, a brightly coloured top, and – if pubs were still open – a drink in her hand. But don’t let that fool you. Underneath all that bravado is a fierce, intelligent, hardworking individual who is deeply passionate about her clients.

Frankie’s latest accomplishment was spearheading a virtual event for iconic British audio brand, Marshall. Under her guidance, the event was, as you would suspect, a massive success. Having secured attendees from the likes of GQ, WIRED, Esquire, The Times, The Telegraph, Metro and more, Frankie then gave Kanye a run for his money by emceeing the entire thing”.

George Forrester, ode to Nicole Marsden

“I’ve only been at Little Red for six months or so, and as a relative newcomer to the consumer side of PR, Nicole was an absolute godsend for getting me up to speed with the Way of the Rooster.

Organised, creative and a great laugh, she’s one of the bedrocks of the agency and someone who’s helped out all of us tremendously during a period that’s been challenging at times.

Once lockdown lifts and the schools go back, I’m looking forward to treating her to a well-deserved glass of wine (or five)!”
