Frankie Stewart’s Greatest Hits

Kicking off the new year, next up in our ‘Greatest Hits’ series is account manager Frankie Stewart. From an internship at the coop during her second year at university, she has since worked her way up the ranks and now splits her time between the tech and design divisions.

Here are her most memorable moments…

Marshall Mode II launch event with Iggy Pop

Whilst I had worked on numerous events before, the launch of Marshall’s first-ever true wireless in-ear headphones and its Never Stop Listening campaign was the first event I was tasked to run by myself.

Fronted by punk rock legend, Iggy Pop, this campaign was nothing short of a big deal, and we were keen to go above and beyond for iconic brand, Marshall headphones. On top of this, we were in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, so with traditional events out the question, this was a first for me in more ways than one.

Journalists from the likes of Esquire, Stuff, WIRED, and The Telegraph Magazine were first treated to a 70s–style video staged like a late-night talk show, with Iggy Pop hosting and Viagra Boys supplying the soundtrack, before moving onto an extensive Q&A session with Marshall’s team of audiophile experts.

In light of the event and launch, we saw 47 pieces of coverage for the Mode II in-ear headphones in titles such as Stella Magazine, Stuff, BA High Life, Marie Claire, The Independent, and Metro.

Launching lightsandlamps.com

As part of the design team, I was thrilled when we were approached by lighting designers Niki Wright and Scarlett Hampton to launch their new brand, lightsandlamps.com in September 2020. The first lighting client on our books, the brand championed design-led but affordable solutions – a breath of fresh air for an industry where top quality design almost always comes with a hefty price tag.

Launching a brand mid pandemic is no small feat, but we were part of a homeware boom that accompanied the stay-at-home guidelines put on us by the government. Consumers wanted to improve the spaces they were now living and working within, and lightsandlamps.com came at just the right time.

I made it my mission to secure coverage in all key lighting season specials, ensuring blanket coverage was achieved for the new brand on the block. The new ranges, which consisted of styles from minimalist to bohemian, has something for everyone, and I was spoiled for choice pitching in products for the wide range of interiors publications we have here in the UK.

The launch of lightsandlamps.com was a huge success. In its first week of opening, it was in the top 1% of stores on Shopify, with many of its lines selling out. We saw the brand feature in over 20 publications in launch month, in the likes of House & Garden, Livingetc, Metro, Fabric, Enki, Stylist, and The Times.

Fender Play

Right at the start of my career, Little Red Rooster began working with guitar extraordinaire, Fender. This was one of the first brands I worked on at the coop, and to learn the ropes working alongside such an iconic name was a dream come true.

Over the next six months, we launched the brand’s Acoustasonic, hosting a press trip to New York to mark the occasion, held an event at the historic The Scotch of St. James to officially launch Fender Play. The guitar-teaching app was created by the brand to change the demographic of guitar learners and, in turn, guitarists!

Fender Play was where I took charge, selling in the app for Christmas gift guide slots, review opps, and hosting influencers at the brand’s showroom in London – an audiophile’s idea of heaven! This was where my love for PR began and has remained strong ever since.
