It’s been a whirlwind week at Little Red Rooster HQ, with a palpable sense of excitement surrounding the announcement of the brand partnership between Smeg and Dolce & Gabbana. The two iconic Italian brands belong to two different creative sectors, but being united by strong values and tradition, have come together to create an exclusive range of breathtakingly poetic, hand painted refrigerators.
Each refrigerator is the result of artistry and a meticulous eye for detail, lovingly decorated by local Sicilian artists – under the personal direction of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. The artwork chronicles one-off works of emotive provincial symbols and medieval scenes, celebrating the country’s multifaceted cultural and political history.
The monumental collaboration between the premium appliance manufacturer and world famous fashion house has materialised through a united passion for ‘Made in Italy’ excellence, a deep respect for family tradition and the importance of maintaining local roots.
The special collection will be officially unveiled at the Salone del Mobile show 2016 in Milan. The Little Red Rooster team are heading over to show next week and can’t wait to see the beautiful designs – how lucky are we to work on such a prestigious launch!
