This morning saw Team Silhouette host an exclusive event to launch the Austrian eyewear brand’s highly-anticipated sunglasses collection: SUN19. Set in Covent Garden’s chic Icetank, the team pulled together an exceptional group of Britain’s finest fashion journalists for a morning of scrumptious breakfasts and a first look at the exquisite collection.
Providing a blank canvas, the Icetank was beautifully decorated with flesh flowers and a nod to the inspiration behind the range’s highlight model, the blue Morpho didius butterfly. Not only did an eye-catching flower wall in the silhouette (pardon the pun) of a butterfly adorn one wall but subtle butterfly cut-outs made graceful appearances around the venue.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted with delectable delights of the breakfast variety and refreshing mocktails – it was 8am, after all. From salmon bagels to an array of pastries, the menu was almost as extensive as the range launched.
World leader in rimless eyewear, SUN19 continues the brand’s legacy of lightweight, minimalist aesthetics, merged with unbeatable craftsmanship to create two new unique models and 35 striking designs.
Inspired by the minimalism of early ‘80s dressing, the Accent Shades, pay homage to the boldness of the early part of the decade. The statement design features large, expressive lens shapes that maintain a light look and feel. Taking its iconic rimless chassis, Silhouette harmoniously enhances the collection’s cool shapes and translucent colours using stylish rings to bring ’80s nostalgia bang up to date with contemporary charm.
Launched for the first-time last year, the collection also sees Silhouette’s Infinity range make a welcome return. Given a modern revival, the models feature matte finishes, metallic accents and bold patterns to present a wide variety of patterns, shapes and accents to cater for a whole host of different styles.
