Sandwiched between London Fashion Week Men’s and Milan Fashion Week Men’s, January sees Pitti Immagine. For those not in the know, Pitti Immagine (often shortened to Pitti by seasoned attendees) is a bi-annual trade show held in Florence, self-branded “the most important International event for menswear”. This year, three of our fashion team, Jenny, Emma and Tabby, took to Italy for three days, jam-packed with stand appointments, press dinners and a bit of gelato here and there.

With a plethora of press in town including some of the UK’s most influential menswear titles, this unique event offers the perfect opportunity to discuss our lovely portfolio of brands with the best in the business. Thanks to Pantherella, Silhouette, Ariat, Marloe Watch Company and Bang & Olufsen, we were able to gather a number of journalists and editors for a night of exquisite food at Florence’s renowned Golden View restaurant.
Overlooking the beautiful River Arno and Ponte Vecchio bridge, the team were joined by journalists from Esquire, Men’s Health, Man About Town, Rollercoaster, Wonderland and Twist, along with blogger extraordinaires, Alistair Guy and Garcon Jon. Guests were treated to charcuterie boards, fine wines and copious amounts of carbohydrates – well, when in Italy!
The day after the night before: Pantherella at Pitti
The team’s second day in Florence was spent at Pitti itself. Manufacturer of the world’s finest socks, and also our client nonetheless, Pantherella, was showcasing its latest collections and we were delighted to invite a number of journalists along to the stand. Attendees from Mr Porter, Esquire and PORT magazine, to name a few, flocked to see the latest from Pantherella and Scott Nichol were far from disappointed.

The next big thing
While in Rome (or Florence in this case), the team took the opportunity to scout out the latest talent at the show. Whilst Jenny held the fort over at the Pantherella stand, Emma and Tabby took the opportunity to have a browse of some of the brands on show at Pitti. Particular highlights included 24 Bottles’ iconic Vivienne Westwood collaboration and Tumi’s chic new luggage collection. On the fashion side of things, we were not only treated to Steinbock’s beautiful workmanship but also Jimbag’s collection of stylish gym bags – the perfect motivation for this time of year!
The pinnacle of Pitti peacocks
Not only is Pitti known for the abundance of brands it houses but also for the epitome of street style showcased each season. Known as the ‘Pitti peacocks’, the show is always awash with the most stylish men in the industry. This year’s was no different to any other, with flawless tailoring and statement fedoras dominating the event.
Whilst Emma was eyeing up the latest trends and newest brands, Tabby was engaging in some guerrilla activity for Pantherella. Armed with tote bags laden with countless luxurious socks under each arm, some of the most suave peacocks were lucky enough to be gifted the latest collection and encouraged to post on social media, with the brand’s handles conveniently attached to each pair.
Whilst scouting out sock-worthy candidates, Tabby also became 2019’s hottest trend forecaster, spotting some of the best OOTDs.
