Here at the coop we’re not just celebrating the new year, but another new client. We continuously strive to work with innovative and exciting brands, and women’s tech retailer Soda Says is no exception to that rule!

 

 

 

 

The idea for Soda Says began when founder Grace Gould was working for one of the world’s biggest tech brands. She quickly decided that she was working in an industry in which products were not part of social conversation with women due to the lack of female-friendly branding, and most tech was being made by men, for men. She took this gap in the market and launched Soda (School of the Digital Age) which she describes as “a curation of products that make sense for the world we live in”.

 

 

 

 

Soda Says contains a carefully selected range of products (mostly designed by women) and all marketed at women specifically. You only have to look as far as the minute-long campaign video, which was shot by the incomparable photographer Rankin, to see how differently Grace and her team are talking about tech. Making fashion-forward content for something as simple as a steamer, or a pair of headphones, instantly invites women of all ages to see an alternative and less clinical take on the products available in the technology market.

 

 

Another point of difference for Soda Says is its concession in Selfridges. Sitting right in the heart of the technology section, Soda Says stands out for being colourful, inviting, and energetic compared to some of the other retailers.

 

 

In the two years since launch, Soda Says has experienced monumental growth. From online and in-store – both in Selfridges and Brown Thomas here in the UK – to the recent expansion into the US, the quick growth is quite astonishing.

 

 

Little Red Rooster has been brought in to work alongside Grace and creative director Jackie Annesley to handle UK PR. The focus will be to increase awareness of the Soda Says story, and Grace’s personal journey to successful business owner, as well as continuing to build relationships with influencers and press.

 

 

The account will be overseen by Little Red Rooster partner Henry Griffiths, and led by senior account manager, Kayleigh Williams, who leads multiple lifestyle and technology accounts at the agency including Bang & Olufsen and Freeview.

 

 

Soda Says joins a growing roster of epic brands managed by the agency, including Ariat, Fender and Smeg to name just a few.
