Dining at eighty-feet in the air is a gastronomic experience like no other. On Tuesday night we did exactly that, in partnership with Smeg UK we hosted the first ever Smeg Supper Club. Journalists from publications such as FT How to Spend It, ELLE Decoration, T3, The Sunday Times Style, Centurion and Metro were treated to a 4-course extravaganza from Michelin starred chef Tom Aikens.
Journalists and the Smeg team enjoyed the most exquisite food while viewing London from a unique vantage point, taking in landmarks as such St Paul’s Cathedral and the London Eye.
Tom Aiken, the youngest chef ever to be awarded two Michelin stars, cooked up a four-course masterpiece including venison carpaccio, cured salmon, hare leg and apple & vanilla panna cotta.
There was an amazing buzz about the event, both before take-off and afterwards on social media. Tattinger on tap ensured everyone’s pre-flight nerves were settled before enjoying a special evening with a twist above London’s skyline.
Also, please make sure you share your pictures of the memorable evening using the hashtag #SmegSupperClub on any social media channel that takes your fancy.
